PLAY SOCCER WITH ABBY WAMBACH!

OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST ABBY WAMBACH COMING TO FLORIDA ON DECEMBER 16th TO MEET AND PLAY SOCCER WITH FLORIDA  PLAYERS

Auburndale, FL – Florida’s young soccer players have a new friend, soccer legend Abby Wambach, a five-time winner of the U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year award and Olympic Gold Medalist.    Ms. Wambach, along with Florida Youth Soccer Association, has launched an innovative and fun fundraiser to benefit Florida’s TOPSoccer program. Players who raise $250 will meet and have lunch, with a parent or guardian, with the soccer legend herself at the Florida fundraiser’s celebration, the Soccer Showcase with Abby Wambach.  Abby Wambach said, “I’m thrilled to team up with Florida Youth Soccer Association to raise both money and awareness for Florida TOPSoccer. I can’t wait to meet the young soccer players of Florida on December 16th!”

Players raising $250 will, with a parent or guardian, have lunch with; ask questions to AND EVEN PLAY IN A SOCCER GAME with soccer legend Abby Wambach.  The top 64 overall fundraisers will participate in a soccer game with Abby.

The event with Abby Wambach takes place Sunday, December 16 at the Indoor Sports Complex in Deerfield Beach.

Cody McGhee, Program Specialist Florida Youth Soccer Association, says, “We are very excited to introduce Abby Wambach to soccer’s future stars growing up right here in Florida. We are also thrilled to partner with her to generate funds and increase awareness for our TOPSoccer program. This is teamwork at its best!”

During the fundraising campaign, as players collect donations they will receive, at the:

• $150 level: A flexible wrist band engraved with Abby Wambach’s “Play Hard, Play Fair” message.
• $200 level: A commemorative event poster and an event T-shirt.
• $250 level: An invitation to attend, with a parent or guardian, the Soccer Showcase featuring Abby Wambach  including lunch with Abby, pictures and autographs followed by a Q&A and then a soccer game with the top 64 fundraisers and Abby!

The top 10 overall fundraisers will sit with Abby during lunch at the head table.  The top 2 overall fundraisers will sit next to Abby at lunch.  The top 64 overall fundraisers will play in a soccer game with Abby after lunch!

Florida TOPSoccer is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. Your team’s game time coming soon!

YOUR TEAM CAN EXPERIENCE A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME PRIVATE CLINIC WITH ABBY WAMBACH

Your recreation or club soccer team can earn a private team clinic with Abby Wambach!  The top fundraising TEAM will earn a private 45 minute clinic with Abby prior to the doors opening on December 16th.  To be eligible please email your TEAM ROSTER to questions@fysaplayhardplayfair.org along with your team name.  Every member of your team must register to fundraise.  The top fundraising team will win the private clinic with Abby!   You must submit your roster by October 15^th; fundraising ends December 12 at 11:59 pm.  Every member of the winning team will be invited to the private clinic and the lunch with Abby regardless of what their individual fundraising total was.  Minimum team donation of $3,000 to qualify.
